Yesterday I have the opportunity of dealing with this problem in a wks whose user was in holydays. This user has a mapped unit to a shared folder in a server.
The problem was noticed trying to use links that were in the desktop. Some with ip other with nameserver. Sometimes after a reset the link with ip doesnt work, sometimes the link with servername. This user is a local admin. I tryed to use my user domain admin and with this user the problem was not present.
The lastest updates are: kb kb kb kb We first see the problem but we are very sure the problem was not present in June. Removing the mapped unit and using a link to the same shared folder resolves the problem until now. Almost every wks have a mapped unit. But the problem is present in a few wks 5 or The only difference I can see is that the mapped shared folders where the problem is present, are shared with many users.
